Today I am makig a short and quick post announcing the video story start by my friend NTM. He decided to manage Arsenal in Football Manager 2012 what obviously makes me excited. You know I am a Arsenal fan :)
Zumba Fitness is an exercise game and program for Wii that taps into the Zumba dance-exercise craze that has swept the nation. Surprisingly challenging, and addictively fun, the 30 heart-pounding Zumba routines that make up Zumba Fitness utilize the motion sensing capabilities of the Wii Remote or Wii Remote Plus controller which work along with the exclusive Wii Remote belt, included with the game, to create a fun but result-producing workout. Additional features include: 4-player support, including a two-on-two co-op option; multiple skill levels along with a training level; multiple in-game instructors and venues.
Q.P.R. board has given a massive budget for wages above $1M and quite high $5.6M for transfers for the promise to avoid relegation. Yes, and I don't expect anything special this season. My main ideas for the first season half:
- Blend into Football Manager 2012
- Set up and tune main tactics
- Fell and understand squad strength in practice, what should help to rebuilt it in the next season efficiently
- Tune up training process
Staff changes
I made several staff changes using mutual contract termination. 2 weakest coaches & assistant manager left the team:
Instead, I signed better coaches and 3 scouts:
Training section got more stars than it was in the beginning. Especially I am happy with my assistant coach's ability to train goalkeeper (5 stars at GK – Shot Stopping!).
QPR board doesn't allow me to sign more coaches. But, surely, it's still a pretty big area for tune up.
Players out
Almost all sold players were in the Reserves when I started the story. The most noticeable of them is Heidar Helguson. I was hesitating about his transfer but his age (33) and slow speed convinced me to sell out the lad. Speed matters because I am going to use tactical approach with a single forward in Poacher role.
Bradley Orr was sent on loan because I signed better right back whom you will see below in the Q.P.R. newcomers part.
Q.P.R. newcomers!
Another doubtful moment was a question: Whom should I buy before the first season?
There were more than 5 variants of answers, and I selected one of them asserting two ideas:
- Defense has to be strengthened.
- QPR squad is the most old in the PL. So several talents should be bought to get a prospective for the future seasons, even if they won't play in the main squad during this one.
So here are Q.P.R newcomers!
1. Marco Verratti (DMC, MC, AMC)
I got Marco Verratti for smaller price in Football Manager 2010 in my Leeds United story. After that he became Leeds leader, playmaker, and my absolute favourite! I couldn't allow myself to buy him in FM 2011 due to low league Boston United. But this year I was able to make an attempt and succeeded in it without any competition from other clubs!
Don't know what to say about him. Marco is merely a great wonderkid whom I see leading my team in future.
Marco Verratti in real life
2. Marco Materazzi (DC)
Another Italian in Q.P.R His name is also Marco but it's his only common trait with Verratti. Marco Materazzi is still top-level defender having only bad values of Pace [8] and Acceleration [8].
His biography full heroic deeds and dramatic events, everbody remembers his fall after head-kick of Zidane in the final. Anyway I believe Materazzi will strengthen defensive line of my Rangers passing some experience to younger players.
3. Yaya Sanogo (SC)
He was a famous wonderkid in FM 2011. And I hurried up to get this guy out of France and claim:
A new Thierry Henry arrived to London!
Well, yes, Yaya Sanogo won't play in the main squad in this season. I hope really much he will be training well to reveal his whole potential in future. The potential is fantastically high, look what my assistant coach thinks about it:
4. Lucas Digne (DL, WBL)
Another wonderkid coming from France. Well known guy among Football Manager fans as well. Digne was an excellent player in the FM 11 game. Now it's still a matter of efficient training to develop him to that level. I should pay much attention to trainings having Verratti, Sanogo and Digne together!
There was a real battle for Digne against Manchester City and Arsenal. I won it due to better contract offered to Lucas.
5. Andreas Henkel (DR, WBR)
Defence strengthening didn't end with Materazzi's signing. Andreas Hinkel (former Stuttgart and Sevilla player) has arrived to Loftus Road! I am going to use experienced right back as… right back actually! Versatile Luke Young will be move to the left flank of defence because I don't believe in tackling abilities of Armand Traore (another left back in Q.P.R.).
6. Ignasi Miquel (What a fail!)
You can laugh at me due to loan of Ignasi Miquel. He is weak player now but rather prospective. And I manage to throw away $1.5M to loan fee accidentally. The matter is in that I messed loan fee with future loan fee!
Perhaps I was too amazed by new Football Manager 2012 making such a stupid mistake!
Conclusion
I think I reached my goals of getting some good defenders and talented youngsters into Queens Park Rangers. I am ready to start the season!
Was it a fine transfer campaign? I am very interested in your opinion, dear readers.
