Championship Manager 97/98 main screen

Today I'm in a quite lyric mood recollecting good old school time when I started to play football manager games Thinking There were several of them. I don't even really remember the names of those games. I just recollect that the first my football manager was Football Limited. Then I had been playing several other football management games but they didn't make me truly patient. And only Championship Manager 97/98 from Sports Interactive Games amazed my mind and made me to fall in love in the game Love Struck

Since that time I've been playing football managers from SI Games continually. Yes, of course, I tried other football managers like FIFA Manager, Premier Manager or new Championship Manager games (after the moment when games series from Sport Interactive changed its brand to "Football Manager")… But they were much worse.

Now I'm 28 and still fond of the way how Sports Interactive makes realistic football management games. So now I would like to recollect some interesting facts from my football career in Championship Manager 97/98 and show you several screen shots from the game.

I tried to manage three or four teams. Don't remember all of them but the most noticeable success was achieved with Arsenal and Fiorentina.

My class mate had been managing Barcelona. And we gathered together during breaks between classes to share our news about latest results and transfers made in his and my game the day before.

I had legendary English defence in Arsenal: Adams, Bould, Keown, Dixon and Winterburn.
