Finally I've written my next report about Leeds. It's so interesting to manage my club I have to say… And it's great to inform you that Leeds started to perform much better than during the first Premier League matches of this season.

Premier League

The 4th position after 20 fixtures is an acceptable result for sure. Especially after weak start due to new players in the team. Currently their adaptation process is coming to the end. The first team (including newcomers in it) began to produce good stable performance.

Now we have 2 and 5 points distance from the 3rd and the 2nd position. I think minimally my club will not loose Champions League place. But I hope for more of course.

It was a great series of matches! If you exclude Euro League games from the list you will see all victories! The most valuable and effective was against our fierce rivals Chelsea:

It was very efficient performance during goal moments by my guys. Two goals were scored from corners by Sanchez and Kryvtsov.

Europa League

Everything is simple in Europa League. Last two matches were played by the second squad players. So we didn't tried to get maximal amount of points due to high importance of Premier League results. But it was enough for finding ourselves at the first position in the group.

As you remember my Leeds won Europa League last year. And next our opponent on the way to defend the title of winners is old well-known CSCA Moscow. Look also at other pairs in the Europa League draw:

Best players of the last 10 matches are Sergiy Kryvtsov (who replaced Hangeland in the first squad excellently), Marco Verrratti (simply the best) and … Steve Williams.

Who is Steve Williams?

Steve Williams is young Leeds United striker who has been playing in the reserve squad and sometimes as a substitution player. But suddenly I decided to use this guy in the first team. I had 2 reasons for doing that:

- low goals amounts of Gignac, Anichebe and Marquinhos. All first forwards started to spoil goal moments quite often. Especially Anichebe and Marquinhos.

- Williams scored many goals in the reserve squad and put few during Europa League matches. Moreover his attributes has grown during trainings perceptibly.

My trust in this youngster was repaid instantly! And at the moment Steve Williams costs $7.5M and has the following stats:

You see I paid only $800K and trained him into really prospective 21 years old striker. Using Williams in the main squad increases competition for positions in the squad. I think it will have a good effect and efficiency of forwards will be made better!
