Deportivo story is started! Today's post will be the first one about my game in Football Manager. It merely describes all my first actions in it.

I bought Football Manager 2011 in Steam because I cannot wait till delivery of free FM 11 copy from Sports Interactive will be made. They give free copies to all gold partners but I can't wait. So I ran The Game and started the story.

Total amount of players was about 50000 in this case. The game started…

Skin problem

The game started but I haven't started to manage my club. Just because I became unhappy with new dark skin due to poor attribute values colours. They are all blue or grey. It's hard to differ them by colour…

I tried several skins for Football Manager 2011 and didn't like almost all of them. Stopped temporary at the Dark skin of Dave Bird. Green dark background is not really good but colours of attribute values are more or less acceptable:

Played a bit and understood that I hate this green background I needed a better skin. Then I found Michael Murrayuk skins allowing to change colours manually as I wish by means of editing corresponding xml files. I made the following changes:

Pay attention that I have also changed threshold values of player attributes:

Orange values > 18, green > 15, yellow > 10, all values below 10 are grey.

Finances

My next step was financial analysis of Deportivo:

"Houston, we have a problem!". Only $1.14M for transfers, big debts before bank and state, overused wage budget…  "It's an interesting challenge", I thought. Took a look at loaned players and terminated almost all of them. The I started to analyse Deportivo squad.
