Transfers and competition with Telford

Posted: 04 Jan 2011 12:39 AM PST

Dear readers, this time I want to continue my Boston United story with winter transfers.  I signed 5 players: 3 - for the main squad (Agboh, Djebi-Zadi and O'Brien), other 2 – for the reserves.

Lionel Djebi-Zadi

Excellent experienced left back! Much better than Ryan Carolan playing at this position in my team. His physical attributes are at very high level for Blue Square leagues. Tough guy! Lionel should become one of the team leaders soon, I believe!

Kuami Agboh

Kuami Agboh is another African footballer with English nationality. Certainly you understood my solution to sign him looking at his attributes. The only problem is Agboh's age that will not allow him to perform good for a period more than 2 seasons.

Liam O'Brien

My contract talks with McKeown (goalkeeper loaned only for half of the year) were failed. He didn't want to stay at loan in Boston anymore. So I was obliged to go the transfer market and use searching skills of my scout and mine.

I found Liam O'Brien through Player Search sorting a list by Reflexes. Scout provided me with the excellent report about this goalie. I think he has some prospect. Interesting that his price has grown to $60K after the first 7 successful matches – O'Brien became the most expensive player of Boston United.

Peter Loveday

Loveday will replace O'Brien when it's needed. Nothing more.

Boston United vs Telford

Boston United holds the top position. Though Telford has one match in reserve…

Battle for the title

And here are the latest Boston United matches:

I want to escape play-offs very much. Hope my team will overcome Telford and win the league. Merely Boston United deserves it. This claim was proved during the last match against Telford:

It was the excellent, absolute victory over the closest title competitor!

My players

The squad became stronger with newly signed players. For instance, Djebi-Zadi has 7.30 average rating after 7 matches.

Currently among the best players are:

- left wingers Vaz and Fofana. Their quickness and technique have no analogues in the Blue Square North League.

- Abdou Sall. Strong central defender who scores goals from corners sometimes.

- Abdeltareck Sakali. Quick right winger. The most dribbling player in the whole league.

- Many thanks to stable Lilian Laslandes and Oliver Nicholas.

I am going to finish this season very soon. Meanwhile the current squad will be analysed by me carefully. The most weak team positions should be singled out till the end of the season because Boston United has to promote to League 2 in the next season (of course, if I don't fail BS Premier League promotion this season Улыбка ).
