Hello everyone!

Today I will start with the Napoli video story of NTM and continue telling about adventures of my Boston United.

NTM's video story: Episode 10

Debut in the Championship

This is how Boston made its debut in the Championship and got already out of League Cup:

Boston United in the Championship

Well, the League Cup failure is clearly understandable because Stoke is a strong Premier League team in my game. So I'll comment only our first 9 fixtures in the Championship that brought us the 12th position in the table after all:

Championship table, Football Manager 2011

We are only in 2 points from play-off zone and in 5 points from the titleCool. You understand it happened due to very tight competition at the start. All the Championship clubs lost quite many point at the beginning. I like when tournament progresses in that way because it always gives certain chances for my team.

The most interesting Boston matches

Boston United - Leeds United 0:1, FM 2011

I believe the most of you remember that I managed Leeds United in Football Manager 2010. Here is the link: Leeds United story. So the first meeting with Leeds was a really uncommon match for me. Leeds United has just relegated from the Premier League and is among the season favourites, of course. As a result it was a complicated game with minimal chances of possible scored goals for my team. It was the first lost match in this season; it was at first when I felt my club is not ready to compete with such strong opponents playing a convincing football.Thinking

Bristol City - Boston United 5:2, FM 2011

The worst match of the reported period. Boston United was merely knocked out of the pitch. No luck.Sad

Boston United - Blackpool 4:1, FM 2011

The best victory of the reported period!Party Blackpool was a Premier League club in the last season. So the performance shown by my guys makes me really proud. It raise hopes in a team's ability to reach play-offs zone in the end of the season. Special thank to one of the best last season players Roy O'Donovan who scored two first goals in this game.

Nottingham Forest - Boston United 1:1, FM 2011

Well, we should win it. Maierhofer used his advantage in air scoring after good corner pass, and I thought it would be the decisive goal. But my players didn't manage to hold the victorious score or to score once more after Morgan's sending off the field.

By the way, one of the blog readers asked me to post the squad of Nottingham Forest:

And now some words about the weak squad of Boston United. You remember I didn't make good transfers because of low amount of available players. That's why I say "weak".

Boston squad in the Championship season, FM 2011

Roy O'Donovan is very good at the start of the season. This quick forward and winger is particularly efficient during counter attacks. Pascal Yarbo (young regen loaned from Fulham) has the highest rating now what allows me to praise him as well. Experienced newcomer Moreno and the last season's leader of defence Maras made a quite good pair of 2 central defenders. Though their weakness in speed was already felt much in several matches.

It's too early to say about players who disappointed me. I would give another chance those who failed in the starting matches. Though I promise to be ruthless during the closest winter transfer windowPhbbbttt

You have probably noticed that I have another new player in the squad – Christian Tiboni. He joined Boston United on the 1st of September:

This guy can become a leading forward in the Championship season!

Future matches

Future Boston matches, FM 11

Many tough games await for Boston United in October and November. But I feel we have chances to finish this period somewhere in the 8th-9th position.

And how do you think? Let's make forecasts!
