Posted: 12 Jun 2011 12:44 AM PDT This is the start I like. It's very optimistic in sense of Premier League promotion task. Boston matchesAs you see there were only 3 strangely failed matches: Barnsley, Crystal Palace and Hull. Other results allowed me to feel myself comfortable at the 5th position in the league: Surely squad blending process restricted us to get more points. I just want you to look at these 3 matches. All of them ended with points loss due to our poor finishing (especially the one against Barsnley when even a red card didn't help my team): The game versus Hull reminded me about weaknesses in my defence and that I have pretty average goalkeeper.
PlayersHere is the traditional player list sorted by average rating: You know I have many newbies this season. Now I can tell my first impressions regarding their performance. Aguirre loaned from Man City is certainly the best forward I've ever had in Boston United. I like also how Tamir Cohen started in the team. Salva Sevilla, Stanton Lewis, Iain Hume, Martyn Woolford show somewhat disappointing performance at the moment. They didn't adapt in the squad. Perhaps also I made some transfer mistakes. We'll see. But the most impressive is that unexpectedly I got a new leader in defence. The best of all newcomers - Kyle Bartley! Kyle BartleyConfident defensive actions from this 25 years old guy impressed me. He has even managed to scored 4 goals during corners. Quick adaptation, strength in air, determination, decent speed… Kyle Bartley has many advantages.
Facilities and financial informationIn the end I want to show you Boston facilities and sponsorship deal asked by one of the blog readers. Facilities

Incoming fixturesThe opponents Boston United will face soon: There we will have tough games against Huddersfield and Peterborough. Two draws will be enough for me in these matches. Other games should be one if I want to reach the 2nd position and escape playoffs. It should be the most interesting season in Boston United story. So stay tuned! |
