Amazing season 3 start

Posted: 14 Jan 2012 11:01 PM PST

Hi all!

Frankly speaking I didn't expect so amazing season start. Yes, I understand my players are blended into the real team already. It's great because, if you remember, I had made the squad revolution 1 year ago. But nevertheless my squad is only the 9th by strength by media prediction. The same was confirmed in my comparative team analysis. The amazing results described below can be related to my tactical scheme (the best I ever created!) and player selection approach.

Q.P.R. results

Q.P.R. played 16 matches with the following results:

11 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses

QPR Matches in season 3, start

First of all, I am happy regarding amount of games without conceded goals. It's the biggest suprise to see excellent work by defenders and goalie in the season.

We started the season very well making 4 victories, particularly valuable one was against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Then we got a not obligatory loss in the away match with Wolves. It was a case of very equal game, only a sudden long power shot of O'Hara changed the score.

Match stats vs Wolves

After that The Rangers had weaker opponents and many wins over them until 2 zero-zero draws against Blackburn and Arsenal.

The worst match of the period is our trip to Kyiv where Dynamo Kyiv were efficient on last stages of attacks. Jay Rodriguez was a pale shadow of himself getting only low 6.3 rating for the match. Read more about the matches against Dynamo Kyiv at my additional blog:

By the way, if you don't know I live in KyivУлыбка

In the next match Jay Rodriguez scored 4 goals. What a nice way to say to the head coach "I am sorry" after Kyiv match Улыбка

The best match

Here is the best match of the reported period. Newcastle succumbed to QPR's attacking force in the second half.

Europa League group after 4 fixtures

I feel myself good in the Europa League after the revenge to Dynamo Kyiv. I predict Q.P.R will take the first place in the end!

Premier League table

We are at the 5th table line… But look we played less matches than other teams. And potentially QPR is a title contender!!!

QPR players

Here are the worst players that haven't fit into the first screen:

Worst players

Surely, the best player is Jay Rodriguez. 12 goals in 13 matches. My team becomes perceptibly weaker when he is not on a pitch. Wingers Oscar and Ivelin Popov were also very good in attacking phase since the very first matches.

But today, most of all, I want to praise defensive players and goalie. Their great collaboration resulted in just 3 goals conceded in 8 Premier League matches. Currently, by statictics, Q.P.R. has the best defense in the Premier League!

Special thanks to footballers who surprised me: anchor man Sulley Muntari and fine debutant Craig Cathcart.

August awards

August was the best month of the period confirmed by numerous awards given to QPR players and me as the club manager.

Talented Carlos Fierro

I decided to buy another wonderkid forward to Q.P.R. when I saw a possibility. Carlos Fierro moved from Mexico to England for $2.4M. He is present in my wonderkids list by the way.

Career stats

Better than Rodriguez

Most likely I should think of selling Yaya Sanogo in future because there are 4 young strikes in the main squad.

Next matches

Next matches

A lot of matches ahead. The next one is going to be very important. Q.P.R. can confirm intentions to be in Top-4 and even be considered as a title contender. All we need for that - grab a victory against Man City. By the way, it would be our first win against them.

Tough period awaits for us after Christmas. Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, Man United in row… 4 difficult matches in 7 days. Fortunately, 3 of them will be played at Loftus Road.

That's all, folks!

Excited to be blogging for you,

Vitaliy Mokosiy
