Posted: 07 Feb 2012 09:51 PM PST Dear readers, today is the day to analyze current QPR squad and find the weakest areas. First of all, let's take a look at all players sorted by average rating: I would like to make 2 rankings singling out best of them. Best Q.P.R. players
Best Q.P.R. newcomers
Now, when awards are given, it's time for in-depth analysis by positions. GoalkeeperOspina was a very good goalie during the season. He is one of the team leaders actually. The only problem I have on this position: finding a good backup keeper who would not moan about lack of football practice. Moya is already on transfer list due to his request.
Defender (Center)Younes Kaboul is the strongest defender here. Craig Cathcart - somewhat worse but still good for me. The only serious issue regarding these two is their Passing Ratio <= 70%. Compare it with the one another central defender Bjelland has: Problem: Lack of good backup defenders caused a failed season ending when we needed to play mathes every second day. Therefore I certainly will search for good defenders during upcoming transfer window. I should mention a very prospective 16 years old Bernard Holt (my hope!). But he is too young at the moment lacking physics. Bernard Holt
Defender (Left)I have a great wonderkid Lucas Digne as my main left back. Happy with his performances this season, frankly speaking! His progress during trainings is awesome. Surely, next season should be even better for Digne. His backup Petar Zanev is also good enough. Therefore I don't see why I would need to sign a player for this position.
Defender (Right)This position awaits changes since winter transfer window. I didn't manage to find a suitable player to strengthen it half of a season ago. Why would I do it? Just because Andreas Hinkel is already 32 years old and should make way for a younger right back. But it shouldn't be Jordan Spence. I need better right defender. By the way, Arne Friedrich is also leaving the club due to his age of 34 years. Andreas Hinkel
Defensive MidfielderFirst of all, strike out Verratti. He is my playmaker who plays at MC position. So currently I have 4 DMCs for 2 positions in the main squad. It's enough if you play season in normal mode and your players are not injured. But in my game it caused a serious problem when we had this kind of crazy schedule in the end of the season: I will search for at least one high level DMC.
Midfielder (Center), PlaymakerMarco Verrati is very good at this position but no so amazing as I expect. Italian wonderkid has only one shortcoming - poor Finishing and Composure. As a result Verratti failed a lot of goal chances penetrating through centre: Anyway he is only 21 years old, and I hope next year Marco will score more goals. As for his backups, here I have talented Korey Smith and experienced Scott Brown. They both were good enough in the last season, so no changes are planned.
Winger (Left)Ivelin Popov is simply great. Q.P.R. captain. Very prospective Vadillo (19 years old) and Obita (20 years) showed themselves very well scoring important goals and making key passes. Brilliant prospect as for me!
Winger (Right)Another position with many prospective players. Young Oscar is already main right winger. Versatile Vadillo plays on this flank as well in rotation. McCafferty and Barros are only 18 years old. Perhaps I will give them some chances in easy matches. There is obviously no need to strengthen AMR position more.
StrikerI put the full list of main and reserve strikers of The Rangers. A lot of prospective guys in the team. Everybody has Shots on Target above 50% what is certainly good. Obviously, I won't buy new player. In my opinion it's the strongest QPR area. However, I would like to sell French wonderkid Yaya Sanogo who:
