Season 8. Could you expect so great start? Posted: 19 Jul 2012 10:32 PM PDT Hello dear readers, I want to begin this post advising new interesting FM 2012 service created by John McParland (Celticman) - FM role advisor. Please take a look and then judge if it can be helpful for you. And now, let's see what I've meant under 'great start' in the post title. It's just simply wow, simply great! Last careful transfer campaign together with the squad revolution 1 year ago + latest changes of tactical approach gave the amazing results. Q.P.R. became a real title contender this season playing very, very stably. Just look at the matches' results! 16 matches: 13 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss.
Premier LeagueAs you see The Rangers has all victories in 9 matches. Only 1 goal conceded! Perfect start what else I can say . I feel we are on the course to our first Premier League title! Though everybody understands Q.P.R. didn't almost play any grand clubs. Except for Tottenham and Manchester City. By the way, our lucky win over Man City became a really important step on the title way. Especially taking into account the advantage Manchester club had during the whole game. Yes, my players were more efficient at the last stage when you need to score goals. But the true match hero is goalkeeper ter Stegen who saved QPR from goals several times. Afterwards he got 8.7 average rating and Man of the Match award. I always believed in ter Stegen! Queens Park Rangers won all PL matches in wonderful attacking style provided by Fluidity tactics. We had some problems with Wolves scoring only once and Manchester City as you've just seen.
Champions LeagueI cannot say the same about the Champions League. This tournament had already called some complexities in the qualification round. French Rennais seized all their opportunities winning 2:1 at home: My boys hammered the opponent in the reply match making scoreboard to show 6:0. Read more about the match at my FM Crowd blog: Stylish 6-goal victory. Then Sevilla became a true headache for me. The used nearly the same 3-4-3 formation with attacking mentality. So Loftus Road visitors had an opportunity to see marvellous attacking football from both teams. Attack was going after attack… I would say the 2:2 score is fair. As for the away match against Spanish champions (ye, they overcame Barca and Real), the backup counter-attacking tactics will have to be used. The unpredictable record win happened in Turkey: weak Fenerbahce got stunning 9 goals. Read match details and watch all goals at my secondary blog: After all Seria A runners up Napoli were lucky to end with draw against QPR. Next match against Italians at home should become decisive. If we win it, we in fact guarantee place in the knockout round.
Q.P.R. playersYou understand my mood now. I can sing songs about my players because of this amazing start in the season :) Everybody has been performing very well. Moreover, I have been easily and frequently rotating squad since the first matches! As for QPR newcomers, they impressed me, I feel potential.
Fierro vs BazanIt was quite difficult to determine the best player of the starting season period. I was hesitating between Fierro and Bazan, both played fantastically scoring many goals and making a lot of assists. By the way, Complete Forward role is ideal for Daniel Bazan. He started to outperform his opponents being in this role. But let's get back to the comparison. We will base on shot stats. Daniel Bazan shot stats: Carlos Fierro shot stats: And the Oscar goes to Carlos Fierro for his amazing shot accuracy and 13 goals in 14 matches! Finishing and Composure of Fierro continue to grow during trainings. I dream to see 20s in both parameters in further. More news about Fierro:
I am a tactical genius they say :)Consider average rating Premier League player stats. There are not many QPR players in the Premier League average rating stats. It means the tactical approach makes the result instead of individual players' efforts. Fans do agree hailing a tactical genius: And of course I grabbed 2 Manager of the Month awards for September and October.
Future matchesAs I said, it's really important to get a win over Napoli and start feeling myself more comfortable in the CL group. Then I will have 2 difficult away matches against Sevilla and Arsenal. Draw in Spain would be enough. Regarding Arsenal, it's always a problem for me. It's so hard to play against their midfield leaded by Wilshire and Ramsey… The most complicated period will start in the middle of December while we will have to play against Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool in row. I will try to do my best to keep 5 points lead in the Premier League table. Though Manchester United is very strong and can disallow me to do that. What is your forecast about that? Excited to blog for you, Vitaliy Mokosiy |
